			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tummy flab is a common problem for a lot of people. And for some, their genetic design and body structures make it more difficult for them to work on their abs. Apple- and pear-shaped women may find it more difficult because these body shapes tend to deposit fat in the mid-section (and in the lower body parts for pears) more than in other parts of their bodies. After experiencing menopause, women tend to lose fat in their hips and thighs as the fat drifts away from these parts to their tummies because of hormonal changes. </p>
<p>For some, it’s not genetic. Tummy flab can be a result of wrong eating habits, an unhealthy lifestyle and lack of exercise. Some find eating therapeutic, such that when depression or stress comes, they tend to fall into a cycle of overeating, regretting overeating and eating some more. Stress is also related to the body’s coping mechanisms. Stress triggers the liver to release a hormone that causes you to feel hungry. Stress can also cause indigestion, which in turn causes your stomach to bloat. Indigestion can also be an effect of eating too much at night and within three hours before your bedtime. So be sure to eat right and at the proper time.</p>
<p>What you eat is just as important as how much you work out. Getting rid of tummy flab involves changing your eating habits and making wiser choices when it comes to food. Eat more fiber. You should get at least 25 grams of fiber each day. Fiber is the indigestible part of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. They act like dry sponges that absorb the water in your body and helps things move faster. They also make you full longer while adding fewer calories and less fat. </p>
<p>Carbs aren’t bad for you as long as you take only 45-65 percent of your total calories per day. That’s between 202-292 grams based on a 1,800-calorie diet. Going above 65 percent is what causes excess water retention and a bloated feeling. Eat more fruits and vegetables because they fill you up without adding tummy flab. Eat the right amount of calories –1800 for those who want to lose weight, 2000 to maintain and 2400 if you have an active lifestyle. If you don’t take in the right amount of calories, there’s a risk of lowering your metabolism.<br />
Drink at least eight glasses of water daily to help digestion. Contrary to popular belief, water doesn’t make your stomach bloat. Instead, it helps to digest food and flush out sodium from your body, thus preventing bloating. Remember that what you eat matters if you really want to lose your tummy flab. The key is eating right and getting the right amount of calories each day. Balance is important. Follow the food pyramid to get the proper proportion of each food daily. Eating healthy doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your food. Delicious recipes are available online for you to enjoy healthy living.</p>

You’ve probably tried hundreds of abdominal exercises that didn’t seem to work until you just got tired of trying. Or maybe you’ve tried scores of diet programs and slimming programs that only left you even heavier than before. The thing about great abs is this: you may be trying to treat a problem that you’re not aware of. It will be good to talk about what makes those extra fats end up in your tummy.</p>
<p>First, let’s talk about the causes of a large mid-section. Oftentimes we try exercises but they just can’t get rid of all that tummy fat. Let’s evaluate what really causes all those extra fat deposits in your belly. If you can find the real cause of that plump mid-section, then it’ll be easier to look for a solution. But here’s what I’m going to require of you: you have to be honest in your evaluation of yourself. Being honest and facing the real problem is the first step to finding a solution.<br />
The first common cause of tummy fat is menopause (this is just among women, of course). After menopause, fat begins to deposit in several places, usually on the stomach. Another is genetics. If you’re genetically pear-shaped or apple-shaped, it’s more likely that you’ll gain weight in your middle area and lower body parts if you’re the former, and more on your belly if you’re the latter. See if the women in your family have these body shapes. It’ll be likely that you’ll have either one. Slow metabolism, which can also be genetically-related or if you have thyroid problems, is another cause. If your metabolism is slow, it can result in extra fat storage in the middle.</p>
<p>If you’re too stressed with work or school, it’s likely that this can account for your tummy fat. Stress can cause your liver to release the hormone cortisone, which makes you feel hungry, and in effect make you eat more. Stress can also cause indigestion, which leads to bloated tummies and more fat. To avoid indigestion that is not stress-related, be sure not to eat within three hours before your bedtime. This will give your stomach enough time to fully digest your food and not leave you feeling bloated the following day.</p>
<p>Eating the wrong foods is also one of the main causes of tummy fat. If you eat too much sweets and unhealthy carbohydrates, it’s likely that they’ll form fat tissues in your stomach area. Eating more fiber-rich foods and good carbohydrates will not only make your tummy flatter, it will also make you an overall healthier person. Crash diets that make you consume less than 1400 calories will leave you deprived and craving for more food. It’s important to eat the right amount of calories and have a balanced diet to get that flat stomach you’ve always wanted.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Adipose tissue, or body fat, in normal amounts is actually good for the body. It stores energy in the form of fat and insulates and cushions the organs in the body. But having too much adipose tissue makes you round in the midsection. Having a flat tummy isn’t just good for the figure; it’s also good for the health.  Obesity is mostly due to the amount of body fat and not really body weight. Visceral obesity means that there’s too much adipose tissue in the central body, causing the belly to protrude excessively. Your tummy may not excessively protrude, but you don’t have to wait for that to work on having healthy and sexy abs.</p>
<p>If you think you have too much body fat, especially around your waist, and you want to have that flat tummy, let’s see what could be the cause of that excessive fat. Indigestion is one cause of belly fat that can be easily prevented when you eat the right food at the right time. Eat light at night, and do your best not to eat within three hours before bedtime. Stress can also cause indigestion and bloating. A pot belly can also be caused by eating too much sweets and excessive carbohydrates. Poor posture can also make your tummy look bigger. Crash dieting and depending entirely on diet pills won’t help you get rid of that extra fat. Doing nothing and doing the wrong exercises are also vain attempts to achieve sexy abs. So what can really help you achieve that flat tummy you’ve always wanted?</p>
<p>First of all, eat right. Choosing more fiber-rich foods and keeping a good amount of carbohydrates in your body will help keep you healthy. It’s always good to follow the food pyramid and not eat more than what you need. Eating less than 1400 calories per day won’t help either. In the end, after depriving yourself of the food that you like, you’ll just crave for more and then tend to eat more. You’ll have a bloated tummy instead of a flat tummy. It’s always good to eat in moderation. Eat small amounts frequently instead of eating three big meals per day. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day; it helps to keep you from being hungry. Also, because fat is a good energy source, you’ll need lots of exercise to get rid of the fat so do your best not to replenish the extra stored energy.</p>
<p>Exercising three to five times a week is best. Doing cardiovascular exercises –jogging, running, swimming, biking, dancing, or aerobics –15 to 20 minutes per day at least three days a week can help boost your metabolism and burn fat. Don’t depend entirely on abdominal exercises. These can help sculpt your abdominal muscles, but you have to burn that layer of fat that’s covering them. Make sure that you perform these abs exercises correctly. Don’t do it too often. Give your muscles time to rest and form. You don’t get a flat tummy instantly.</p>
